Photo Shoot and PS. Monday's Coming

Monday's Coming...

Monday is 2 days away. I'm sure you wanted this lil' reminder, as you're just beginning to enjoy your weekend and the thought of going back to work/school on Monday is the furthest thing from your mind, at this moment. But, I'm here to remind you of Monday. I'm sorry, please don't hate me. Although, this might actually bring some enjoyment to a popular "hated" day.

Dainty Button has a very big day on Monday. I chose this day to launch our much anticipated boy/men's line, black and white by Dainty Button, which you can get all the details and "behind the scenes" story right here...

I also chose this day to introduce our Easter Collection. Well, a Dainty Button "Easter", that is : )
I've had several ladies email me asking me if Monday is only going to be boy/men's things, since we've been putting such a big emphasis and push on it. Definitely not! There will be something for everybody!

There are alot of details regarding Monday, reason as to why I have chosen this blog to, hopefully answer questions and give as much details/info as possible.

So, from "a to z", here it is...

1. The black & white by Dainty Button Collection is debuting Monday morning. As mentioned above, there is a blog with specific details about this new expansion. This is a new line, in which I'm so excited about.

2. Our official Easter Collection will be available, as well. This will be a more dressier approach and something for the entire family to wear for Easter Sunday and throughout the year, for that matter.

3. Two styles of Dainty Button Shoes will be introduced and available to purchase. Shoes have been one of Dainty Button's most popular selections, and I'm looking forward to introducing two new Spring styles that I hope you enjoy, as well.

With all of these new additions, it calls for some festivities. Festivities, meaning GIVEAWAYS. Everybody likes giveaways, right? So, the entire week, we will be giving away different selections from the three mentioned, above. With all of this excitement, an agenda is in order, so it's not mass confusion. Here is the agenda for the week, regarding giveaways, how to purchase and our email list.

Monday morning:

An email blast will be sent out to everybody that is on our mailing list. If you're not on our mailing list, you can easily sign up by emailing us with your email address or commenting on this blog. An approximate time that this will be sent out is 10 AM (PST). In this email blast, we will be giving you a sneak peek of:

The black & white by Dainty Button Collection
Easter Collection
Dainty Button Shoes
and
Our featured item of the month

This will only be a sneak peek, but enough to pique your curiosity. In this email blast, a promo code will be offered for you to use throughout the entire week, with special savings. This promo code is ONLY available to those that are on our email list. Again, if you're not on our email list, you will not receive the special promo code, as well as the sneak peek.

Monday Afternoon: (early'ish)

I will be posting a blog, featuring all of the above, with links on how to purchase, which will direct you to my etsy shop. Please be aware that all items will only be available for pre-order, excluding a couple designs. All orders placed this following week will be shipped out the first week of April. Once we get inventory in each design and style, our regular shipping will apply.

In the above mentioned blog, our first giveaway will commence, with details and rules. All giveaways will benefit both men, women, boys and girls. I will also be posting the winners of the two giveaways this past week.

If you have any questions regarding the new black & white by Dainty Button Collection, any of the above information or details regarding next week's festivities, please email us at: daintybutton@yahoo.com

Photo Shoot...

I'm not a big person on photo shoots, especially for an accessory business. Many people have asked me why I don't have more photo shoots and use live models for all of my designs. As wonderful as it looks and the endless possibilities, sometimes a full bodied shot, for instance, can take away the focus on the actual product, especially if the model is far away. It just defeats the purpose, in my opinion. But, there are some instances, in which a photo shoot is required. In our case, that means the our Children's Line and the brand new black & white by Dainty Button Collection. And so, yesterday we ventured out for a photo shoot and it went fabulously! The benefits of reading this blog, is you're going to get a tiny lil' sneak peek as to what's coming Monday : )

This was such an easy, laidback photo shoot. The models were just incredible, naturals and so easy to work with. The location was perfect. The help I had on hand, couldn't have been better and the photographer was fabulous, as always! By the way, if you need a great photographer, I use Mehgan Johnson, who is being mentored by Scott Shoemake of Scott Andrew Photography (amazing work!) http://scottandrewstudio.com/.  Anyhow, the photo shoot was wonderful. My little boy model showed up with fake tattoos all over his arm. This was a problem, considering his shirt was short sleeved. Thanks to my brother, who was on hand to help, we were able to get them off. The unfortunate part, I'm not sure if the lil' guy had any feeling in his arm, let alone the arm itself, due to us rubbing it so hard. We, somehow forgot to see the bandaid on his finger until after the shoot and I picked up on it when I was briefing proofs. It looks so adorable and I just had to keep it. I hope you guys like the lil' "boy" touch. As for the rest of the shoot, here's a few behind the scenes shots...

Elise is Dainty Buttons staple model for the Children's/Young Teens Line. Photographer, Mehgan Johnson.

Christopher is the new black & white by Dainty Button men's model.

Ian is our black & white by Dainty Button boy's model. This was pre-tattoo removal, I believe. That's also my little "big" brother, Jon-Marc, who was on hand to help.

Dainty Button doesn't do Easter traditionally. Again, our children's model, Elise and photographer, Mehgan Johnson.

Lil' teaser for you guys : )

Monday is very close and I'm so thrilled about getting this out for you wonderful Dainty Button lovers to see. I hope you enjoy and I'll see you guys on Monday!
