Giveaway Winner, Stamps and Easter

So, this blog was supposed to be up yesterday, then last night, then this morning. It just kept getting pushed out. 6 hour business road trips, exhaustion, finance classes (on a Saturday morning, at that) and a little sister's 25th birthday celebration will do that. My apologies.

I've decided to announce the giveaway winner at the very end of this blog. Hehe. I'm just dragging out the suspense, I know. Of course, you can always just scroll to the bottom, which is what most of you are probably doing. Haha! I also have decided to split this blog up into 3 parts, so you're not overwhelmed or absolutely confused.

Part 1:

There's alot of very exciting things in the makings here, at Dainty Button. For those that have not seen my fan page posts about March 14th, MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDARS! There's some fabulous things coming the week of the 14th. Our Easter Line is launching, as well as a big surprise that I have been working on for almost a year. The Easter Line will reveal my more dressier, formal style, which I don't carry alot of, as well as a large expansion with our Children's Line. Also, two new styles of Dainty Button Shoes will be introduced. This entire week, there will be GIVEAWAYS, including the SHOES! I'll be posting and blogging more on this next week. A couple things you might want to do, if you haven't already..

1. Mark your calendars! March 14th!

2. If you're not on our mailing list, please GET ON IT! Our Easter Launch will be introduced through our Constant Contact email blast on the 14th, before it even hits my etsy shop or facebook, as well as a special coupon code for that entire week to use in my etsy shop. BUT..this is ONLY if you're on the mailing list. If you're already on it or have already provided your email address recently, you're good. If you haven't, well, it's not too late : )

Part 2:

The next lil' exciting news is a contest. This is not necessarily a giveaway, although there is a little consolation prize to the winners. Yes, that is plural : ) Here's the scoop...

For those that have purchased from Dainty Button before, you have been the recipients of our muslin hand stamped bags, we use for packaging. I have used seasonal and holiday themed stamps since Christmas, but unfortunately it's something that just adds unnecessary time to my busy schedule and I need something consistent. We also ended up with tons of extra heart stamped bags after Valentine's Day and if not for Western District Ladies Conference, we would be stuck with them. So, I purchased a stamp with a famous quote from the French designer Yves Saint Laurent, which states "Fashions fade, style is eternal.". Well, this made me start thinking. How cool would it be if I had, oh, 5 or so, random quotes on our bags. I started thinking as a customer, which I do many times when I'm creating, designing or brainstorming, and thought it would be a fun lil' surprise each time, to see what quote was on my bag. Then, I thought, why not connect Dainty Button to it's clientele and form a neat lil' bond? By doing that, I'd love for some Dainty Button lovers creativity to go into our creativity. I hope this is not confusing you.

So, here's where the contest comes into play. Over a week's time, I'm opening this up to whoever wants to participate. You can email, post, comment on this blog, etc. quotes that are:

1. Related to style and fashion

2. Funny

3. Inspirational

BUT, ALL must be for a lady. They also, must be original. Or, very close to original. That's the tricky part. It's very easy to just "google" quotes and submit them. In that case, I'll put my assistant to work and come up with some. But, when they're original, it makes it super unique, which I strive for with my lil' business. We will review these at the end of next week and choose 5 quotes that we think are just "out of this world". If you're quote is chosen, you will:

1. Receive a $10 credit towards your next Dainty Button purchase, in addition be sent a "surprise" goody.

2. Have your quote made into a stamp and used on our muslin bags until June 1st, 2011. Here's a little example of what it will look like...

"Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."

Who's in? I hope there's plenty of ladies out there that get put their thinking caps on and help create some wonderful quotes for our muslin hand stamped bags. I love the idea of involving clientele and super excited about this. Final details on the contest:

1. Begins Monday morning, March 7th at 10 AM (PST).

2. Ends Friday, March 11th at 11:59 PM (PST).

3. The winners will be announced on Monday, March 14th at 9 AM (PST) with the blog, introducing the Easter Launch.
